Product description
A classical painter who produced highly finished works of art, Leighton was also an excellent portraitist. Leighton was a sophisticated, cosmopolitan figure, having spent much of his early life in Italy. Exposed to a wider range of influences than many other English painters of his day, Leighton was influenced by both Nazarene and Italian Renaissance painters. Flaming June includes a sculpted frame with gentle engravings designed to emphasize the art. The frame also includes a wooden liner with a subtle fillet. The frame color is a merlot with rich walnut undertones.
